Google Testing AI Mode Button On Google Search Box

Google is testing ways to get more people to try AI Mode with a new AI Mode button in the Google Search bar on the Google home page. We've seen Google test AI Mode promotions with banners in the search results but now Google is placing large buttons in the search bar to get people to use AI Mode.

Take the ai out of the main search results and I’m fine with it being there as a button. Oh wait, is that not what they are going to do?

How else are they going to be able to brag about their 90 trillion daily AI users?

I think I’ve clicked that button once in maybe 15 years. IMO it’s useless and I’m surprised it has taken them this long to do something about it. I wonder what the click stats for that one button are.

I used to use it… I thought it would take you straight to the first result (but it’s been a long time since I used it)… Now all the top results are hot garbage.

Having two buttons probably looks nicer so I guess it was decorative.

“I’m Feeling Lucky” is a good name for letting AI choose for you anyway. Jesus take the wheel.

Right! It even says AI is known for making mistakes on the bottom of all its results. Lol

I remember a time where that button just were there, in a useless way, because if you just type a fcking letter Google automatically started to search for it sending you to another page where the “I’m feeling lucky” button were no more.

Does that mean, I don’t get hallucinations, if I don’t press the AI Button?
