    No. I recommended Lemmy to my friends, and they were all driven away by bad moderation, tankies, or transphobia within a day. They think I’m mad for using this site and surrounding myself with the people here.

      I recommend it two the two friends I know that use reddit. The one didn’t even join because there’s no active sport communities. And the other left after about 3 months a little less.

        Yea I recommended it to a friend and the reason they didn’t stay was the lack of niche communities. And I get that. You have to have very specific requirements to thrive here

            Specific places (only big cities in the usa), different hobbys esspecially small ones, litterally every topic that isn’t memes, linux, computers in general or communism
