Yeah. My guess it that they’re trying to be as conservative as possible to prevent the numbers being dismissed as inflated. Obviously that hasn’t worked, but it may well be even worse if they published the full numbers.

It’s extremely telling that the lancet estimating a quarter million dead a year ago has been completely memory-holed; even most anti-genocide people dont’ know about it.
