Moi mien jong!
Keeze (Dutch Lower Saxon).
Yeah, for work I also have the outlook app on the phone, and that’s even worse; some kind of overwatch policy prevents me from getting pop-ups reminding me which meeting I have, instead prompting me that I have a calendar event, and I should open outlook to see what it is. Then I have some additional hoops to jump through to actually view, so I gave up on that years ago. For now, a piece of paper it is.
I tought that was me! This week I finally gave up on it, and started printing my calendar for the day. Welcome to 30 years ago I guess.
I remember Java being seen as the best thing ever in the 90’s, and it was considered “cool” at that time. So cool even, that it became the programming equivalent of a hammer, every coding challenge looked like a nail for which you could use it.
I only view the channels I’m following, and never click on anything else there. So as long as Youtube doesn’t inject te AI shit in those channels, I’m good.
You could however, take these boxes, fill them with junk and dump them illegally somewhere. I’m pretty sure someone will track them down to hand them a fine. Source; this happens in the Netherlands on the regular.
You’re confused with punk. And the saying was from the early days of punk, so late 1970’s early 1980’s.
A copper still I made from an old boiler while test running it. Was a nice hobby pre covid, I should pick it up again.
Tip; use some kecap manis (sweet soy sauce) instead of maggi.
Going out with friends between 1991 and 1997. It was a great time looking back, but most night probably were just a lot of (underage) drinking and not much else.
I’m the same age as you, you’re fine.
I used to go to the Dutch MotoGP with friends in the 90’s. Back then you were still allowed to bring your own beer, so all of us carried a cooler full of beer. I saw a lot of things there, but no motorcycles. Come to think about about it, the only friend who liked MotoGP didn’t go with us.
Govt subsidies? Really?
Why not?
Yes. I mostly support whatever charity that comes door to door, except some big ones who won’t take money but try to reel you into a monthly plan. I also support some Ukrainian artists on Patreon. And I support organizations like doctors without borders if they’re in the news, especially when the right wingers start spewing their “what about me” rhetoric.
I totally believe this. We see it here in the Netherlands (and other EU countries) for all big tech companies, they’ll build some big energy hogging thing, and then buy up all the renewable energy certificates from the market. The general public then ofcourse needs fossil fuels for their energy demand, but that’s beside the point.
You’re thinking rational. Tesla prices skyrocketed during the covid pandemic when wallstreetbets was gaining traction. That’s probably all you need to know.
About 20 years ago, there was only dial-up internet available in my street. My parents lived about 200 m away from me in another street, and they could get ADSL. So I set up a wireless bridge to them, and it worked surprisingly well after some tweaking. Kept it running for a few years, eventually got my own connection because one day my dad called me because he needed the router password. Turns out he was also sharing the connection with his neighbour who was running an internet radio station.
