I don’t fully disagree but that was exactly Kira’s thinking lol (at least at the start)

I tried Niagara at first, but wanted something FOSS and switched to KISS Launcher which is similar. It’s search-based, like Niagara. My friend bought the Niagara launcher and loves it, but it’s not for me
Not very important but I remember it strangely well.
I was 8 years old. My teacher asked “What is one hundred times one hundred?”
I raised my hand and said “Ten thousand!”
“No, it’s one thousand. Ten times ten is one hundred, and one hundred times one hundred is one thousand.”
“But… It’s ten thousand. Can I show you on a calculator?”
“No! Sit down, it’s one thousand. I’m the teacher, I should know.”
I later got a calculator and showed her and she didn’t apologise.
You can get browser extensions to have more control over video speed
The ant-smelling trait is a genetic thing. I have a co-worker that can smell ants, but otherwise their sense of smell is unremarkable
What? I Google stuff all the time. Just not on Google (DuckDuckGo or Qwant)
The flag with the tree is the flag of Lebanon. I also found this out after asking what the “Christmas tree flag” represented 💀

It would be annoying, but to be fair, it’s the Mac Mini, which is small and easy to pick up. I would guess you could just tip the corner up to press the button.
I still think it’s a dumb design. It’s going to confuse everyday users
Do you have an income? I’m just curious how this works. Do you catch most of your food?
Same with playing cards
I didn’t pass the whiteboard interview ☹️
nuh uh
Gender studies isn’t a job, it’s an academic field
I’m not entirely sure how ad blockers work, but my understanding was they prevent things loading from certain URLs. If the ads are embedded into the video, then there’s no ad-specific URL to block
They’re called kaomoji, like emoji. In Japanese, emoji means “image-letters” and kaomoji means “face-letters.” The English word for them is probably emoticons, but that more refers to things like :-) and xD. Kaomoji can be called “Japanese emoticons.”
If you have an Android phone, your keyboard has built-in kaomoji ヾ( ͝° ͜ʖ͡°)ノ♪. You can access them by opening up the emoji panel at the bottom left, then tapping the “:-)” button at the bottom right, which contains some western emoticons but many categories of kaomoji
While the overall video would be a different length, video players often don’t count the ads towards the media time. So the deep links should be okay
There are still subreddits though, they’re just called communities
