There are tons of forums out there, the search engines just won’t show them to you. The search engines are the real problem.

True true! But there’s a reason why I’ve only bought used.
“Oh no, what will we ever do if the federal government doesn’t set our standards? We are too dumb to set our own standards!”
I’m pretty sure the states can figure it out on their own. And any school can feel free to set their own standards even higher if they wish.
I’ve seen similar options, but haven’t heard of this one. Looks like my 17 yr old comp might be compatible. I wonder how compatible though, since most of my USB ports already don’t work with my supported OS.
Anyway, thanks, I’ll look more into it.
I guess that’s true. But both are acting like everyone just has money to waste.
I’m not using windows, but apple does the same thing. My OS is 9 versions old because they won’t let me upgrade without buying a new computer.
The removal of the DOE will just allow states to be in charge of their schools, instead of the federal gov. It doesn’t need to be federalized. Most things should be state run, not federal run. The point of having states is so people can more choice in what they want for themselves.
If you like the way state B operates better than the state F operates, then you have the ability to either move to State F, or to work on convincing those in state B to change the way they operate. But when the fed runs it, you’re stuck with it.
Umm, removal of DOE does not remove schools.
And to go and take it out on people who aren’t involved, just because they own a vehicle. Childish brats.
You’re free to feel that way, I just disagree and think we’d be better off without AI. Time will tell whether we should have put an end to it, or if it was a great invention.
Some search engines more than others!
AI is a totally different ballgame, and I’m sure you know this.
You are kind of getting upset, so I assume you work in the AI field in some way? I think the development of AI is interesting, intriguing, and opens many doors to many possibilities. But I still think it’s a bad idea. It’s not that I don’t trust AI, it’s that I don’t trust humans, and they are the ones implementing AI.
Quote from Jurassic Park, that I think applies to AI well: “We were so preoccupied with whether we could, we didn’t stop to think if we should.”
Yes I do, and it’s totally different than Gutenberg or Turing. But as soon as AI is programmed with “ideological bias” it becomes an agenda, a tool to manipulate people. Besides, it’s training people to think less, and put in less effort. It will have long term negative effects on society.
No, ai just needs to be shut down.
This is what I often do. Handy since search engines are worthless anymore.
Web rings still exist, you just wouldn’t know it because search engines don’t show you the types of sites that use them, which is usually personal sites.
I sometimes use excite.com (oldschool) for searching, and get better results than the major ones, sometimes not. Most people have no clue its even still up. I haven’t dug much, so I don’t know much about its current state. Like tripod sites, how they still exist but are full of hidden junk.
