Tetris. IIRC there are some very positive studies backing it. There is even something called the "Tetris Effect" (not the game).

Anime, my boi, I am not going to start a debate over a stupid dad joke.

It has a meta punchline, in this case breaking the “rules” of this joke setup / structure and subverting expectations.
Edit: OOH you’re the guy who just told me to go to hell lol

I can see what you’re saying, but this technically is not an anti joke.

It would add an element of uncertainty and mutation.

Sure, but a computer can never give you a truly random number, it always has to calculate it from something. But, to be fair, we can’t be certain that humans can either.

The only thing that can be said for sure is that the human brain uses both electricity and chemical reactions and seems to be capable of randomness, while the AI runs purely on electricity/code and isn’t capable of randomness.
We don’t know what consciousness is and we don’t even know what life is so anything beyond this is pure speculation.
PS: Some of the answers here are demonstrably wrong, but I have learned not to get into arguments online anymore, it’s better for your sanity.
Mostly no, especially in big cities, because I would be broke in 30 minutes. If someone tells me they need it for something reasonable and specific and I believe them, maybe, honestly it depends on my mood as well as I am obviously flawed, just like everyone. Also I live paycheck to paycheck myself.
Edit: Thanks btw.
I once saw a guy searching through the trash for “Pfand” Bottles (German recycling system) that are worth 25 cents. He didn’t ask me for anything, so I gave him 5€.
PS: I could tell that he was genuinely grateful (or at least a great actor) and I had that gut feeling that he is a good guy.

Batshit insane conspiracy theories are pushed to discredit all conspiracy theories with actual evidence.
Women’s pants have small pockets on purpose to increase handbag sales.
Surveillance of the general public is much, much worse than people believe and the view of being considered weird and paranoid is deliberately encouraged.

Stardew Valley
C418’s music (Minecraft vol. Alpha & Beta)
“Secunda” from the Skyrim OST
“Schala’s Theme” from Chrono Trigger
Some songs of the Hotline Miami soundtrack
Not from a game, but absolutely fantastic:
“Promises” by Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders 🪦 and the London Symphony Orchestra
Oh and almost forgot: Til A Mermaid Drags You Under by Mary Lattimore is a must listen, just trust me on this one and don’t skim through it.
For Proton it is the “tech bro”-y feeling and for Signal it is wondering about financing. Also, if you are paying for your own audits there is an obvious conflict of interest.

Max Cooper - Spike (The best benchmark I’ve ever heard)
If I want to impress people I play Mountains (Interstellar) by Hans Zimmer.
Very interesting insights. Funnily I use all of the services you cautiously recommend, including GrapheneOS, but not HarmonyOS, hard pass on that one. As a German I am also legally required to prefer Tuta. :) I still have that OG 1€/Month contract.

Edit: Your last point is a good idea, although I think the more popular an open source app is, the less likely it is to be malicious. A lot more eyes on it and the xz backdoor was caught pretty much immediately.

Edit: I misread your question.
Online: Pretty much any prank and/or challenge resulting in death or permanent injury.
IRL: Some old guy in the hospital bed next to me refusing to be treated by an African immigrant nurse, calling her slurs. (He might have had dementia, but still)
I have this bad gut feeling about Signal and Proton, I have no evidence tho.
First reaction was actually “oh no” 😅

I think Lemmys userbase has to grow more, it is mostly turbo nerds right now (no offense, I am one of them), then it will be easier to find people you click with. I have made the experience that humor is often misinterpreted or misunderstood or that a lot of statements are taken as attacks. Some responses here kind of prove you right.
Dear Lemmy users,
please stop taking absolutely everything as a permanent debate.
Thank you. <3
