You can also switch to LibreWolf for better privacy but don’t try to take all the steps at once. Slow and steady is better.

I believe it’s not possible because it would untie the user from all of their comments and posts that seen on “any other website connected to the Fediverse”.
Only your instance can know who you are if you change your username but other instances couldn’t know that.
I see. Personally I have no concerns since I don’t even use G-apps at all. However I don’t want anyone to come to me with a problem either, which currently none I believe.
