That’s not how it works though.
That’s not how it works though.
That’s not just engineering but also product and support. But yes, each one of those tasks are already on their way to being possible today, and agentic planning and coordination could make it feasible in much less time than you think. Until we get AGI /ASI it’ll need some human supervision, but not a lot more than that.
enough of the seniors have left and shit hits the fan
That was my first though also, but then I realized in that timespan the coding assistants will be able to replace the senior engineers as well. If not earlier.
And it tries to paint it as bad for the environment in this paragraph:
But the mining, milling, and production of nuclear fuel, as well as the construction and decommissioning of nuclear plants, emit greenhouse gases at levels ranging from 10 to 130 grams of carbon dioxide per kilowatt hour of power — lower than fossil fuels but higher than wind and hydroelectricity (and roughly on par with solar).
So… It’s good then?
Yeah, I’m not surprised. I didn’t think it was even possible. Whenever I have to transfer money to my bank account in Argentina I use crypto. Much easier. That one time that I used an intermediary US account I had no other option, never tried that again.
Ah, that’s a different ball game all together. Is that even possible? Last time I tried I had to wire to a US account that my Argentinian bank has in the US and they somehow transferred the money to my account. Still, it took a couple of days and it worked without a hitch.
It takes 1 day to wire money and it works on the first try, what are you talking about?
Saying you know who Satoshi is, that’s the claim, and that’s an extraordinary claim.
No, because it’s an extraordinary claim.
Ah, gotcha, and I agree
That is the extraordinary evidence being referenced.
Sorry, you misunderstood my comment, which was very badly worded.
I meant to imply that you, an experienced developer, didn’t get “scammed” by the LLM, and that the difference between you and the dev you mentioned is that you know how to program.
I was trying to make the point that the issue is not the LLM but the developer using it.
Did you get scammed by the LLM? If not, what’s the difference between you and the dev you mentioned?
Stopped reading after the first paragraph.
No bed to go as far back as 2014 to get a basic analog car
It seems to me that almost all native English speakers got principal and principle backwards. I’m actually surprised when I see them used correctly (which is not the case here).
President Trump announced his intention to ensure that all future bitcoin production would take place within the United States, should he be re-elected.
facepalm
Brilliant! This is one of those things that when you see it, it seems so obvious that you wonder how nobody thought of it until now. But it takes someone like Randall to pluck it out of the space of unexplored ideas and present it perfectly.
No, he’s right, LLMs match the definition of AI. Terms like AI and AGI are not made up by corporations, they have specific meanings in computer science.
