I’ve used Firefox daily for probably a decade now and I can think of a single website it’s ever not worked properly with that entire time.

You’ll be waiting a while then. You can’t prove a negative. If LMG says they didn’t do a thing, and an investigation concluded that there was no substantial evidence that they did that thing, what more do you want?

Technology@lemmy.world•Google's AI search feature suggested using glue to keep cheese sticking to a pizza
81·2 years agoDon’t browse mastadon. I came to this conclusion myself after finding the reddit post in question. The answer from Google wouldn’t pass a plagiarism test, the wording was nearly identical.

Technology@lemmy.world•Google's AI search feature suggested using glue to keep cheese sticking to a pizza
371·2 years agoThe result in the screenshot is taken almost wholesale from a 11 y/o reddit comment.
Let that sink in. 11 y/o comments on Reddit are what trained this AI and it is now spitting them out as results for people looking for help.
We are not long for this world.

Technology@lemmy.world•New Windows AI feature records everything you’ve done on your PC
11·2 years agoSeems like this will not be a thing in most typical PCs, for the time being, as it requires specific hardware and opt in to a feature.
Not liking how pervasive AI features have become, though.
Playing a game uses such a ridiculously small amount of electricity compared to the amount that is pumped in through a supercharger, I would honestly be shocked if the difference between playing a game while charging versus not playing while charging was in the minutes.

Technology@lemmy.world•Slack has been scanning your messages to train its AI models
291·2 years agoThere’s a safe bet that if you’ve put something on the internet, it’s been scraped by a bot by now for training. I don’t like that, for the record, just saying I’m not surprised at this point. Companies are morally bankrupt

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What foods and drinks would you buy more often if money was not an issue?
1·2 years agoChinese seems like a weird one to mention because anywhere I’ve ever gotten Chinese takeout has to be the best value for your dollar in terms of take out food. They cram those containers so full you can make three meals out of it, at least.

It’s worth the money, I’ve bought it twice.

Technology@lemmy.world•Roku has patented a way to show ads over anything you plug into your TV
5·2 years agoYes, and this was that very specific meaning and was used in the context of journalism.
Eh, I’m gonna be honest, I just don’t see it as an issue that justifies not putting it on other people’s computers, as the original comment was about.
And I just tried to recreate a few issues from that site, and personally can’t. Sure, I know, anecdotal, but I just strongly feel like it’s a flimsy reason to not recommend it to a friend or relative.
