Mute ads in live sports. Absolutely.
Avoid ads in all other formats.

lol. Imagine still using chrome.
Didn’t show up on my win11 pro desktop pc.
All ways, exactly.
The users and content on this site are far removed from reality.
More likely, they’ve been doing this for many years and it is basically obsolete, so they are spilling the beans now.
Or not and we really are doomed.
Software engineering work.
Mac for code and other work tasks
Windows for personal use during work
Linux for hosted applications and side projects.
That seems like some one off or a rural connection.
I work with a large remote team across the US. Most people on my team have gig internet, some get slower 100 meg internet. Mine is gig, I pay $60/mo and have no data cap.
You don’t like people fervently ignore it the article and just broken recording “install Linux” and “Linux is so much better than it used to be”?
Cool. I use Linux for something and windows for others and Mac for others!
No. I don’t pay for a service that has ads. That’s what I just said. If they add ads, I cancel.
But they haven’t added unskippable unavoidable ads yet.
When/if they do, that’ll tell a story.
While I agree it is absurd, it absolutely happens. See the Las Vegas convention workers union. I was told that one worker could not plug-in an extension cord that had been previously plugged in because it wasn’t his job. There were numerous other instances exactly like that, while working a convention center floor.
It does happen.
RIP Google Play Music. The best music service to ever exist.
I’ve gotten my last 2 jobs through LinkedIn. I know it doesn’t work well for some fields, but for tech it is great.
Exactly my thought. LinkedIn didn’t scrape their own data.
Unfortunately, it was originally seeded with people from the meta mod community in Reddit and so they brought all that with them.
Some discussions are awesome, but anything remotely controversial is a pure echo chamber and you’ll get shouted down if you dissent.
Why do these articles never have a screenshot of the change. So annoying.
Gen Z is app savvy, not tech savvy. Very very different.
No. I would never go.
Cheating is betrayal and a breach of trust. If my wife cheated on me I would not only hate her but want to see her and interact with her as little as possible.
For me on this trip, I would constantly be reminded of the cheating. Seeing them together happy would make me miserable.
I know you have to think about your kid and taking him into account may make this decision harder but I would still strongly suggest not going.
