I typically put children’s music on YouTube when driving with my kid. Not having to shuffle with the phone to skip ads while in the car is a life saver.

My first thought was that they are trying to be a new onlyfans.
Same, except I deeply regret getting Vivint home security. Took a year to finally get features I had paid for up front. Massive communication failure between support/billing/tech. Sleezy sales practices. Their hardware must be purchased through a third party credit company. Couldn’t transfer my hardware after I moved despite being promised I could. My cameras are sitting on my kitchen counter unplugged because the whole system is a mess. Never ever touch anything Vivint related.
Could be monitoring in flight wifi. I have no idea.
You spelled Elixir wrong.

I am a victim of abuse. We had a kid too. The court handed my daughter to my abuser when she made false claims and I was arrested. All charges were dropped but the custody battle was delayed and made wildly more complex than it needed to be by the mother. Two months ago I was finally awarded sole custody. It has been so hard. To say male abuse victims have an uphill battle is an understatement.
So fast it’ll leave skid marks on your desk!
100% this is what happened. Also, it’s its not it’s, right?
I said, ‘fuck it, why not?’ when the whole joe rogan boycott happened. Have not missed Spotify one bit since.
I can see your point
I always kind of felt like those voices began to be drowned out the more and more popular reddit became. You’re correct about Lemmy’s scale, but there is certainly a sweet spot. I’m happy knowing Lemmy hasn’t yet reached its own, and reddit’s is long gone. I’m happier here and it’s likely only going to get better.
Typically happens to me in the initial moments before I remember it’s been a week since I’ve pulled master.
Gotta make sure the poo is smooth and even on each cheek before wiping.
I think Google is a great company. They make very high quality products that I use daily.
IMHO one of the hardest negative aspects of the company to argue against is their pattern of killing products and features with little to no notice regardless of previous statements. To their credit, my experience with the Stadia shutdown felt fair and reasonable, so it’s not necessarily the end of the world when they do.
Probably something to keep in mind when reading about multi year support statements.
I wonder what the side effects of this would be… There would suddenly be incentive for people to shape their lives in ways that would make them more attractive to advertisers, at least on paper.
I wonder if we would see improvementw to society at a macro level if people start making changes to be the types that are paid more for their data.
Is there a list of companies still showing ads there? I will gladly avoid them all.
