It’s interesting that the threat model also includes participants. They take into account that when a user leaves, it should be impossible for them to continue listening.

I don’t think it’s Spotify. Spotify already gets their cut, they have no reason to put out “fake music”. This is a very well known “passive income” scheme. It’s obviously real people doing it
Let’s be real, 3 and 6 are not possible
CD? No, I can get mostly the same sound quality, if not better via streaming. Vinyl? Yeah because it’s a set piece. It’s a great conversation starter to have a cool collection.
Call me crazy, but I feel like I’m in an even smaller echo chamber.
I think what he means is that he bet some money, won, and then used that to bet again, repeat and eventually the aggregate bets made totalled to be 250k.
My university just finished replacing one of the on campus convenience stores with a “just walk out” thing. The experience just felt kinda weird overall.

Yeah of course. As it stands right now gpt 3.5 is free, but gpt 4.0, which has been demonstrated to produce better output and get do more, costs a monthly subscription.
At least doing that is likely to result in the student internalizing the information to some degree.
This is a good point, and I agree.
Chatgpt 3.5 is free. Can’t get more student priced than that.
Regarding the second part about outputs: that’s not practical. Suppose you ignore students running their own LLMs offline on their gaming gpus, where these corps wouldn’t have access to the info. It’s still wildly impractical because students can paraphrase LLM output into something that doesn’t look like the original output.
I agree 100%. I’m as left as probably most people here, but I just don’t understand why the first course of action is to claw the opps eyes out.
