I know that. So I stand corrected that I should have written “If it were supported by GrapheneOS…”
Doesn’t change, that its a show stopper for me, though.

If it supported GrapheneOS I would be using one too.

Linux isn’t a service though. And it’s getting funding.

If it’s free, you are the product. How do you expect someone to offer you services for free?

Not yet but very close.

I changed it, should work now.

They should listen to Meredith Whittaker (German) the boss of Signal.
It sets precedent. You could extend that on anything. Doesn’t make the German pay or piss yourself thing any better though.

[Installing software] will still be possible but the apps themselves will need to be signed by the developer through Google, so Google ultimately still controls what can be installed. Maybe someone will crack it.
Fixed that for you :-)
I use a wire guard tunnel into my Fritz box and from there I just log in because I’m in my local network.

It synchronizes with CalDAV, you need DAVx⁵ though.

I’m a native German speaker but never heard ‘Abschreckungsbeispiel’. But ‘abschreckendes Beispiel’ is quite common.
There is a (mean) saying: -Niemand ist unnütz, er kann immer noch als abschreckendes Beispiel dienen ’ - No one is useless, they can still be a bad example.

Just today I stumbled upon my first playlist with ‘More’. Good to know.

I’m using a Garmin watch with Gadget Bridge from f-droid. Works well even though I don’t like the app’s look that much.

Works with librewolf.

Logging in works with your tip (–cookies-from-browser [browser]:[profile] for anyone interested but I get a 403 error, sigh… Apparently all that remains is waiting for an update fixing the problem.

Unfortunately it’s not working right now because yt-dlp fails to login. But great thanks anyway!

WeChat is like the absolute dystopian nightmare. If you are for whatever reason excluded from this service you are basically fucked in Chinese Society.
I’m using GrapheneOS on a Pixel 7a which I bought just to flash it. Google Android just ran on it for the obligatory update before the flashing. It’s just very secure and that’s what I like about it. I’m not so sure about /e/ even though it’s being supported by semi prominent people here in DACH.
