Don’t know about Troubleinmind, but to me, weakness means inability to cope in a healthy way.

Crying is not a mental breakdown just like laughing is not a mental breakdown. It’s a natural expression of an emotion and it’s healthy - it helps you get rid of cortisol, so you should WANT to cry in appropriate circumstances just like you want to laugh. It’s a natural bodily mechanism that is good for you. You viewing it negatively and as a weakness stems from the toxic approach to these things in the culture you grew up in (and probably still live in, unfortunately).
The icoms would still have different shapes, right?
I should add that you can have many dysfunctional genes in your DNA without having any health problems if the genes regulate something optional like hair color and not vital like proper muscle production. So you can have lots of dysfunctional genes without having any medical dysfunction.
It’s usually a mutation that doesn’t allow the gene to work properly. An important part of the gene can be deleted or the DNA sequence is changed in some other way. Sometimes a change in just one letter of the code can break the functionality of the gene. When the cell tries to make a protein based on the mutated sequence, it produces a protein that cannot be used for any purpose in the body or it cannot produce the protein at all.
Dysfunction of a gene. Not a dysfunction as in a health problem.
At the same time, east asian people are not known for having more trouble with being overweight. But that’s probably much more complicated.
Yes, you’re right. I just think the original comment was not about people wanting trans to not exist as a phenomenon, it was about people who know it exists, but who want trans people to be punished for being what they are.
You can always put them to sleep, you know? The fact they exist doesn’t mean they will be allowed to continue doing so. Cooking a steak is a great example, but perhaps too emotionally charged.
I’d say aggressivity IS a part of human nature. Even kids can be aggressive while playing. It is there inside of us. Whether we use it for good or bad causes and in good or bad ways is what matters.
Yes, they did come off as siblings! It would be so much better if they were just friends. The sibling chemistry was there. I also found it strange that in the end the leading guy was supposed to finally stop playing it by the book, but he never really did during the whole film. That was a whole missing arch. And the bad guys were sleeping most of the time.
Teenage boys deserve some love and movies!
Which I didn’t like at all, it felt too much like an audiobook to me, reading all the guide bits, not like an adaptation. Looks like you can never satisfy all fans at once.
I found it to be rather entertaining, I liked the action, I liked the design and I liked some of the charactets. Unfortunately both the main characters and the plot seemed rather underdeveloped to me, so it kind of did turn out to be a bag of cinematic butt.
This one’s great!
I’d argue that gambling doesn’t really have good sides and alcohol is ambivalent at best. We could compare it to other media like TV, that’s perdectly ok. But when it comes to restrictions concerning other media, they are not as strict and act mostly like guidelines for parents.
There are good and bad ways to use a phone. It’s not comparable to things like cigarettes.
I wouldn’t want to spend my life with someone, who would not be capable of understanding the things I like thinking and talking about, so a lot less intelligent partnet would be a problem. I would also not want to feel like I have nothing to offer intellectually to my partner, so the ideal is to be in the same league. I can theoretically imagine some kind of combination of one partner being less intelligent but also outstanding in another department that the other partner is lacking.
Pubes are just different kind of body hair. No big deal.
