Zozano@lemy.lolto Technology@lemmy.world•Australia bans social media for under 16sEnglish141·8 months agoObviously there are workarounds, but I suppose it provides a good justification for parents to deny their kids access to social media.
Zozano@lemy.lolto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What movies do you recommend that actually benefit from 4K rendering?English3·8 months agoI’ve noticed dark horror movies are much better in 4k because they normally have much better dynamic range.
Longlegs has quite a few scenes with visuals you’ll miss if you’re watching with a poor quality video.
Don’t breathe was also fantastic in 4K.

https://docs.linuxserver.io/images/docker-jellyfin/#usage
Copy the text from the docker-compose section, and paste it into a file called compose.yaml
You can also add your other programs which rely on each other (Sonarr/Radar/qBitttorrent) in this same compose.yaml file (you can find them on this website).
When copying the other programs, omit the lines:
--- Services:
After that, in your terminal, navigate to where the compose.yaml file is, and run this command
docker compose up -d
Now your suite of applications are installed and can talk to each other.
You’ll need to change some of the details of the compose file (to set timezones and media directories).
You can restart programs with
docker restart jellfin
LinuxServer.io are basically your one-stop shop for home-server applications

Zozano@lemy.lolto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do any non-corpos actually like AI slop?English11·9 months agoFor the sake of brevity, I’m just going to agree that I’m sea-lioning.
Now, explain how what I’m doing is unethical.
Do you think it’s unethical because it uses stolen art?
If so, I don’t think there’s an issue because I’m not publishing anything I generate.
Do you think it’s unethical because of the electricity usage?
If so, you could make the argument about any frivilous activity which generates electricity.
I really don’t know of a compelling reason besides these two which raises a red flag for you.
Zozano@lemy.lolto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do any non-corpos actually like AI slop?English11·9 months agoI’m not trolling. Why is it unethical for me and my buddies to generate images of a duck with the head of an elephant?
Zozano@lemy.lolto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do any non-corpos actually like AI slop?English41·9 months agoI meant to reply to you, to illustrate it’s not always unethical; a point you raised, not OP.

Zozano@lemy.lolto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•This is a thought experiment "Ball on a Table" for detecting whether someone has Aphantasia. What do you see when you perform this experiment?English5·9 months agoBoth my partner and I answered the same.
The ball was the size of a tennis ball, no colour.
The person had no gender or any distinguishing features.
The table was a standard kitchen table.
Neither of us knew what the test was about.

And if they have something like, ooh, the app is hidden behind a calculator, they think that’s amazing, and they want to buy it.
TIL drug traffickers have the mindset of a teenage boy looking for ways to hide porn.

I’m tempted to say either The Witcher 3, Grand Theft Auto V, or Metal Gear Solid 5 (if you can look past the fact it’s unfinished).
All three are exceptionally polished, have huge, highly detailed world’s to explore, cinematic moments with blockbuster action scenes, smooth and balanced gameplay, are suitable for gaming noobs and veterans, and has moments to goof off and dick around.
It’s hard not to be biased, though I’ll state I don’t personally like GTAV, I think it’s perhaps too ordinary for my tastes and feels too restrictive in its mission structure.
