This suuuucks. We need another big, general instance that doesn’t defed everyone. But I get it, being an admin sounds like a lot of work or I would do it lol. Plus I don’t have place for a server around here. Or do most admins just buy space from the cloud?

I used it a little in a recent project, but I’m mostly a backend dev and am new to front end. When I Googlef how to make stuff pretty or improve UI, a lot of results were still related to Bootstrap, probably because it was so ubiquitous for so many years.

It should be in the Channel 4 streaming service you’d think, but it isn’t for some reason. It’s actually a great example of the role piracy has to play in archiving media and data.

There’s a channel 4 documentary that sounded interesting from just a couple years ago, like 2022 or something like that, that I can’t seem to find where Prue from The Great British Bake-Off is tracking down the family of her adopted child (I watch a lot of GBBO, hence why it sounded interesting). It’s so recent and Prue is so famous in the UK, I am surprised how difficult it has been to track down.

The rest of the world needs to learn from the US’s failure like this ASAP. I think Europe might already be doomed judging by the way the UK and Germany are going, but others might be able to swerve to avoid a fascist future with the right moves.

Would’ve loved to see Furiosa but movies are in and out of theaters so quick and then onto streaming. They really need to fix that.

Not everyone has that, though. I’d love that, but a subwoofer with a proper sound system would annoy the hell out of my neighbors. Especially with houses getting harder and harder to buy, I think most people will be renting and they deserve the movie theater experience, too.

But they need d to make it better by enforcing things lkk no cell phones or talking.

Just wanted to give an update that I started learning Linux. It’s been a pain in the ass to look up every basic thing I could do in Windows without thinking, but I’m sure I’ll get it down with enough use and googling for every error. Only been using it a couple days so far, but already starting to prefer the console over the UI for some things, thanks to the ability to quickly repeat old commands with the up and down arrow keys. It’s kind of exciting, like I’m starting the first steps to join the Linux club I see so much on Lemmy.
