A guy tried to rob me at gunpoint in 2016. I had a canister of 18% pepper spray on my key chain. He wanted me to go into my own pockets to give him what he wanted, mistake on his part. When he looked over his shoulder I sprayed him. If I had been carrying a gun, I might have hesitated to use it because of the finality of it. Hesitation could have gotten me killed. No sane human wants to kill other humans. Because pepper spray is nonlethal, I didn’t hesitate. Yet, some states like Michigan forbid stun guns and pepper spray over 2% concentration, while handing out firearms like candy on Halloween.

Not as mean as the Spanish Inquisition or the Salem Witch Trials. Those are just a couple of small examples of what religious freaks do when no one stops them.

The name of it sounds like a streaming service for children’s movies and TV shows. Like, Netflix for kids. In the past 5 years I have seen at least 3 deepweb social communities that started out normally, with a lot of people talking shit and enjoying anonymous free speech. Then I log in a couple weeks or months later to find CP being posted and no mods doing anything to stop it. In all those cases, I reported the site to the FBI anonymously and erased my login from my password manager.

The manufacturers don’t have to provide open source drivers, They could offer the drivers to other companies besides Google though. Why do you suppose they don’t?

You are talking about phones made by Google. I am talking about ALL the phones using Android and how difficult or sometimes impossible it is to use anything but Android. I am talking about (oranges) a monopoly on phone operating systems. And you are saying what great (apples) phones Google produces.

Unlock so you can use whatever phone service provider you want but Google controls the Android operating system. If you don’t want Android on your phone and would rather use Linux or another FOSS operating system, it’s very difficult, because Google doesn’t give up control of the drivers for a lot of phones. If you just want to remove Google apps from a phone that comes with Android, you have to jailbreak it which voids the warranty and jailbreaking can’t be done to every phone.

How about not letting Google have exclusive rights to the drivers for all the phone hardware? I would like to be able to install Linux on any phone I buy. I don’t want Google monopolizing phone operating systems. #FOSS #Linux #FuckGoogle #Monopoly #deGoogle
