Maybe not exactly this, but I recently read How To Break Up With Your Phone and really loved it. Short read, and even if you don’t follow the whole 30-day routine she outlines (I didn’t), it’s full of great prompts/thoughts on more responsibly looking at your consumption habits and I came away with several practices that have made a big difference for me.
Correct. If you do it now, there’s a notice about this feature going away.
My favorite Calibre thing was when the creator was interviewed and asked about the common complaint that Calibre is ugly and he was basically like “actually it’s not.”
I noticed this feature wasn’t available for my Colorsoft and asked support about it. They assured me it would be added later. This is exactly what I expected to happen.
Same. I feel like I’d look so weird with hair now.
Same. Saving this.
I’ve made a couple of Firefox extensions just for personal/fun stuff, might give this a shot.
I just appreciate that DDG lets me turn this garbage off.
Hah yeah I guess I combined those confusingly. It was both of those things hitting around the same time, I switched to FF and DDG.
I switched to DDG recently due to the manifest v3 changes and AI junk and have been really liking it. It feels like what Google used to be when it was good.
If you’re on macOS, you can select text from an image directly in Preview.
We’re hearing it was a sick ostrich.
I heard a while back that they also will try to move some inventory around warehouses based on algorithmic predictions of people’s upcoming orders/things left in carts so it can get there faster when they do order. Never fact checked it, but made plenty sense to me.
You should really consider professional help (if you want to change). Reading your comments, venting to random people on Lemmy isn’t going to change anything for you.
Disqualifying yourself (and others) before you even try to meet someone isn’t going to help. Just try to talk to people and show genuine interest in what they have to say, you’d be surprised.
It happens. I met my last partner when I went to the bar to read my book and she commented on my Kindle.
Outside of my country being on fire and being a bit worried the small company I work for will survive, my personal life has been pretty good.
I’ve been casually seeing a new woman and it’s been nice to break out of my usual comfort zone of “you are now half of my life” relationships. And it’s given me motivation to get consistent with lifting weights because I want to look good for her (and tbh love when she grabs/holds my arm), which has really helped me control my blood sugar. I might even be able to dial back my medications depending on how my next doctor’s visit goes.
