I got an inkling that it just isn’t profitable to make quality appliances anymore. Why make something that can last for decades when you can sell people a new appliance every 5-10 years with cheaper parts?

“Sir, I’m so sorry to bother you, but are you accepting new loads at this time?”
I don’t have a professional understanding of the subject tbqh but I frequently talk to people who do and while we both kvetch about work, they often mention how autism spectrum disorders are understood much more granularly now and focus more specifically on the types of cognitive impairments or areas of difficulty. Someone can have poor audio processing but still be able to visually identify and categorize stimuli. They may be able to process information easily in the moment but struggle to retain said information. In the past, this would simply be categorized as child-like, but that doesn’t really give a good understanding of what’s happening in the person’s brain.
As far as further reading… I can’t really make any recommendations, but I know there’s a great deal more study now than there was, say, 30 years ago.
Nope, that’s an outdated conceptualization of autism and has been for quite some time.
So they gotta have one hell of a cutie spleen
I think it was that I had picked up the takeout container close to my face and was using the chopsticks to shovel rice into my maw as I watched some video.
“You eat rice like Chinese person”
From the lady behind the counter as I was watching some bullshit on my phone and eating mapo tofu
I’m guilty of throwing a drizzle of mayo on top of the Ramen right before serving. That and toss on some sesame seeds. Amazing.
Sliced up fish cake or sausage, seaweed snacks and pickled mustard greens are my go to. When I want something spicy, and I usually do, I grab a block of hot pot seasoning I keep in the freezer and cut off a piece to melt in the broth.
Lmao wait they didn’t even have to watch all the nominated entries?
Fuck the Oscar’s yo what a jack off festival
I’ll save ya a click, avoid Uncanny Valley
I think there’s a big difference in the way China approaches school work for children that makes this work differently. Kids are in school for far longer in China, (I’ve heard different numbers, but something like 10- 12 hrs a day) so restricting access to games to a few hours a day is really negligible considering how much free time they have. It mostly ensures they aren’t playing games during classes or missing sleep to play games.
I don’t think such an approach would work in America, partially because the education isn’t as rigorous.
I also don’t think the government should act as a replacement for proper parenting. I think it’s your duty as a parent to monitor your children’s activities and see if they’re healthy, for games and anything else, really.
So IRC is really cool huh
Fishing is a great way to get out, explore your local waterways and learn about the biodiversity they hold. It’s simple enough to do successfully without much study, but more learning can be beneficial and fun. It’s a cheap and easy way to spend the day outdoors and soak up some sun while getting fresh air and familiarizing yourself with the lands around you.
I like the phrase “tell a lie” used right after you misspeak or remember something to the contrary of what you just said.
I hate clunge and minge. I’m not generally opposed to vulgarity but these are just taking the piss. On a similar note, the cockney rhyme for Eartha Kitt is just distasteful.
I don’t think it makes a good name, it smacks of an attitude of “normal names aren’t good enough for my child” and I don’t think the child should suffer for the parent’s vanity.
Realistically, no, but I still think it should be said frequently with sincerity.
Oh, no, honey, I’m not average, I’m outstanding. You may find some practicing communists in this thread, but me? I perfected it.
Absolutely not
I think this is recently apparent with Instant Pot. Their first model was phenomenal, and if you have one, you probably still do. The newer ones are still pretty good, but they come with small issues, don’t work as well and need more maintenance. Plus, Instant Pot now offers a host of bullshit add-ons to round out the sales line-up.
I had heard they were considering bankruptcy at some point prior to their recent line of products.
