To make it worse, it’ll quickly get figured out and people will be calling in “oh my God! he’s trying to kill me”, get transferred to a person and be like “so, it’s 3pm in a Saturday and my neighbors are playing their music too loud!”

Con Air … why? No clue, I would have thought I’d go with Lord of War, but Con Air immediately popped into my head when I read the question, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
‘Nuke it’ or ‘microwave it’
I despise the ones where it’s basically like “get on the bus, we’re having mandatory fun!” and then you get going and it won’t finish until 2 hours past your quitting time, but it’s totally cool, because it’s a good time!
OTOH, I’m not at all interested in sports and I’ve had a good time going to a baseball game and once a company took me to an arcade which was a lot of fun. Alcohol provided by the company.
For me, as long as quitting time stays quitting time, I’m more or less happy even if I don’t actually like the event, but if you keep me away from my family, I’m unhappy and I can’t imagine how pissed the people who pick up their kids from work/school/etc… must have been.
Yeah, nothing says “I just don’t like that scent” quite like “I ain’t no bitch”
Looks fine for me with mobile app, Interstellar, fwiw, not even a little bit blurry.
Especially when they put the price as free and then say make me an offer!
At least put $1 so I don’t have to see your bullshit at all if I filter correctly.
I called Comcast and it was horrible
human, operator, GET HUMAN, person, technician, for fucks sake! Bomb? Give me a fucking human!
Nope, nothin, mashing 0 on the keypad also did nothing.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to insinuate you were being insulting!
“Don’t feel crazy/bad/dumb, I’ve had the same thing happen to me!” is a pretty common phrasing in my region to show sympathy and understanding and I thought that’s what you had meant (and it sounds like for your area, ‘pregnant’ serves the same general purpose!).
It’s always crazy how that happens sometimes and after weeks of banging your head, everything just ‘clicks’ when you’re exposed to the information in the way that works best for you!
Dude, don’t feel pregnant.
Context clues, I assumed this autocorrect was some variation of crazy/bad/dumb? :-D
Weirdness: My Authentik instance had a PostgreSQL upgrade prerequisite in order to update it.
I’d followed instructions 3-4 times completely unsuccessfully and had to keep reverting to backup.
So, I gave up for a couple weeks and left it be in order to get over my frustration.
Yesterday, I followed the instructions again. As far as I can tell, I did nothing different than I’d tried previously and it worked first try and then I was also able to upgrade Authentik.
NOTE: The instructions aren’t exactly difficult! So, I don’t see how I’d have gotten it wrong!
I don’t like marijuana at all for myself (tried it twice with different methods of delivery) and found it to be extremely unpleasant.
I don’t see why that should affect other people’s ability to choose for themselves to enjoy it or not though. Why should they go through rehab just for enjoying something that’s not negatively affecting them?
If I’ve had pineapples personally negatively impact my life, should I get to say you can’t have any?
In my experience, Zoomers largely lack a lot of computer skills (specifically in troubleshooting), but, for me the huge difference between them and the older folks has been that the older folks will say things like “I’m just not a computer person ::laugh::” and refuse to be shown how to do anything whereas the Zoomer just doesn’t know, yet, but are more than willing to learn.
ETA: NOTE: that’s just the generalized trend … some of the most knowledgeable technical people I’ve met are Boomers and some of the best computer techs I’ve worked with have been Zoomers.
Yeah, my problem with it is that it’s always something. I’ve been giving it a go about once a year since they forked from Emby and everytime something has made me drop it.
If I’m having problems with it the handful of times I go to watch something using it, the people I share with DEFINITELY would and now I have to handle their auth crap myself as well.
I’ll probably prioritize just keeping a server going side by side now for a lot longer than a month or two at a time and try to find solutions to my problems. it’s never really been a priority before since Plex worked, but the writing has been on the wall for a while now that the enshittification is in full swing and now I need to make sure I’m ahead of it.
Blah, this sucks.
My AmazFit Bip could do a month when it was new (it’s down to ~10 days now after a few years), so I would think a month from Pebble would be feasible.
I don’t understand using a watch that you can’t use for AT LEAST a weekend without power … as it is, I’m pissed off that I’m down to 10 days (it’s stayed steady here for 6 months or so, so, I’m hoping it won’t degrade too much more before the new Pebble comes out).
Am American, agree 100%. JFC we’ve destabilized countries around the world and are now getting hurt fee-fees because people are rightfully pissed off about it‽ We’ve made the world significantly less safe and now want to play the victim.
I had nothing to do with that. I’m not happy it happened. I’m pissed off that it ever happened. People in other countries aren’t pissed at ME and I understand that, but they are definitely rightfully, pissed at my country and so am I.
What next? A toaster with butter spreader built-in?
I mean, that’s at least a feature that you can look at and say “Huh, I’m not lazy enough to use it myself, but I’m glad it’s there for Granny who has arthritis and can’t hold the knife very well anymore” UNLIKE the AI which is basically just there for Samsung/LG to get money from Microsoft and for Microsoft … ??? … Profit???
This is mine too. If you haven’t, look up the drama on set! The crew wore shirts stating they hate the directors, the actors were drunk, Haskins broke his leg and was in a cast most of the time (rumored to have been run over on set by another drunk actor, lol).
It’s insane and crazy that we got a movie so fun (seriously, it’s just so fun even if it doesn’t adhere to the source material).
To me, that’s the purpose of a “homelab” not the purpose of self hosting. There’s a lot of overlap, but they’re not quite the same. Homelab has a goal of learning, but just self hosting doesn’t need to.
“I’m just not a tech person! ::most annoying giggle imaginable::”
You don’t have to be a tech person to know how to use basic features on your damn phone! You’re not a mechanic because you know how to use the radio!
