Also on motorbikes you are more stable at high speed so better to hit a dog at speed than slow down which could lead to person behind you hitting you or you crashing.
Ok seems I was wrong.

I only regretted that I bought a BMW because it eventually broke down and I had to pay an exorbitant BMw tax to fix it. So high it wasn’t worth it. To be clear the fix itself wouldn’t have been too much if BMW didn’t block third parties from doing it.
Loved having electric though. Next car will definitely be electric. Full tank of ‘gas’ leaving the house everyday. Never having to go to petrol stations…
Yep. All the headless automation broke…
My company blocked ssh keys in favour of password + 2FA. Honestly I don’t mind the 2FA since we use yubikeys, but wouldn’t ssh key + 2FA be better?
On steam people know they have an option to sail the high seas. But the same concern is there.
Can you link to it? Is it touch screen?
Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense now.
Would that make Batman Arkham series a spectacle fighter? Since you can get a massive combo and look really cool doing it.
There’s a niche set of people who pronounce it niche, most people pronounce is niche. People who pronounce it niche just sound stupid!
Tomato tomato
I thought this was a new hip smiley I didn’t know about until I read the article :)
Everything over a certain amount should be taxed 100%. Not everything. But also there should be a substantial house tax on mansions. And a higher house tax if you own more than one property.
Yeah. Same here. It’s amazing how many people feel entitled to things for free.
Who is paying for it so?
Inverter + install + testing. It’s deep in the car so a lot has to come out (I was told).
I know, but in the past the independent dealers didn’t have to deal directly with BMW for fixes. Now with all the authentication needed you can’t just get a replacement part from anywhere any more. Similar to how Apple locked down its batteries, BMW is doing the same.
I’m never buying a BMW again. I had an electric i3 which had an inverter (charger) failure. BMW wanted €12k to fix it. Thankfully an independent offered to do it for 4K. But BMW still wanted 3K just to plug it in and authenticate the new block. Nothing else, just “bless” it. Made the fix cost-prohibitive so we just had to scrap the car. The battery, which most people fear, was fine on this 8 year old car.
I know but I always have issues with SMB shares at home in KDE. Gnome just works flawlessly.
You can install tweaks like dash to panel which makes it closer to windows. I do this on my PC. On laptop I use the default with gestures.
There is actually a good video by CGP grey on why this is. https://youtu.be/rStL7niR7gs
