I cannot find a single credible source for the band thing. There is a band called Cicada 3301 but they are completely unrelated. They named themselves after it but do not have any connection or affiliation. I wouldn’t exactly use a Top 10 video as a reputable source.

As for Kryptos, it’s a world famous and unsolved bit of cryptography. If it’s overblown then solve it?

If it was a gimmick to get a band popular then it did an insanely bad job at doing so after multiple puzzles across multiple years and swearing the winners to privacy.

Actually that would be really neat if someone did that. I recently watched Hard Candy with a friend (good god that movie is horrifying) and for some reason the deadnaming (even though it isn’t actually deadnaming) just feels really weird and awkward and uncomfortable. More so than him just playing a woman. It’s strange.

Also wonder how he feels about that whole thing, come to think of it.

It lost quality. Dr Park and Dr Masters are both really tedious characters that are not well rounded or well acted.

That being said the show otherwise is generally pretty solid. The last season is definitely the weakest. Also fuck Lisa Edelstein for not even returning for the finale when everyone else and their mother did.

IMHO, Lemmy needs a lot of features, but mod tools and better notification system really need to top priority across all Lemmy clients.

As someone who up until recently was modding some of the biggest communities on LW, yeah. Agreed. One of the reasons I stepped back was because of how frustrating it is as a mod. Luckily I know that Ruben over at Boost for Lemmy is working on mod stuff at the moment.

Well, a couple hours ago someone posted child pornography. It may have been fake, I dunno. I wasn’t exactly interested in looking closer to find out. When I saw it I reported it to admins through mod channels and it was taken out pretty quick. But most admins are asleep at the moment, same with mods. So a second post was made and stuck up for way too long which is what everyone is complaining about. I didn’t really do anything other than bug people privately. Now that this is known to be happening people should be keeping a closer eye so it should be taken care of quickly.

Posts have been removed and user has been banned. Also submitted the Mintboard stuff to admins and myself/other mods have recommended for it to be added to the blacklist of banned sites.
