Stephen King’s Bill Hodges trilogy: Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, & End of Watch.
I did exactly that.
The traumatic brain injury may have had something to do with that, though.
I really wish I could remember the name of it, but it’s about a lawyer who effectively puts the devil on trial, except it’s really messed up in parts. There’s this entire sequence involving a girl, a young child, who over time seduces the main character who describes in great detail the experience of screwing this child, only for it to be revealed that the girl was the devil/a demon of some sort whose sole purpose is to corrupt the main character. The majority of the book was great, but that particular sequence was well into distasteful and disturbing.
I think it was called Son of the Endless Night, but I’m not certain if that’s correct.
Susanne’s snootching to that muthafuckin nootches with Jay and Silent fucking Bob! Noise, noise, noise!
Is that Bobby?
I’d love to know what this would actually do.
Edit: Thanks for the responses and lively discussion!!
Learn to redefine “clean”. You’re not living in a museum. Things don’t need to be pristine and dust free.
I picked a day of the week, in my case Saturday, and chose one area of the house to concentrate on. Dishes, laundry, and any other “infinite work” chores can become overwhelming quickly if they’re not kept up on, so there are frequently days where that’s the only house work that gets done.
The unpopular truth here is that if you value cleanliness enough for this to bother you, you probably should have considered this well before your third kid. Just do yourself a favor and never, ever resent your kids for their messes. I hope you find a way that works for you and maximizes your relationships with your children!
Hogwarts Legacy on Switch. I should have known better, but my local Walmart had it on sale for $29.99 a few weeks ago and I bought on impulse after reading a few posts about how it’s gotten better after updates. I’ve had glitches galore. Mad pop-in, falling through geometry, crashes, and two save game corruptions, all in the most up-to-date version available. If this is better, I can’t imagine how broken it was at launch. I feel like I got $5 of content out of this. If the glitches were at least amusing, I might be ok with it, but the save corruption is just unacceptable.
So my child, who is not old enough for their own account, will now no longer be able to watch Disney+ while attending school at their residential academy 400 miles away. Just like Netflix. And just like Netflix, my subscription will be canceled the moment they try to block them from logging in.

Love him, too. Currently watching Good Omens and loving every moment.
You’re going to melt for me whether you like it or not because I told you to. cracks dragontail
King is my favorite author, hands down, but I don’t understand why so many people seem to look down at Koontz. If we’re really being honest, Koontz would be much more well regarded if it weren’t for the fact that he’s so frequently directly compared to King, and Stephen King is a one-of-a-kind, once in a lifetime literary master. Absent the comparison to King, the bulk of Koontz’s work holds up quite well. It’s entertaining writing with relatable characters that are easy for become invested in. Hell, some of his ideas were not only terrifyingly imaginative, they were also oddly accurate predictions of the future. Demon Seed is uniquely chilling in that it was almost comically over the top with its seemingly ridiculous technology that has since very much become a reality.
I would also argue that Koontz has had a few film adaptations that ended up better than the King adaptations of their time. Phantoms, Watchers, Servants of Twilight, Whispers, Intensity, and Mr. Murder were all pretty great.
Koontz has a great track record. He simply suffers from living in the shadow of a modern day colossus like King. Absent the comparison, I feel Koontz would be much more favorably viewed.
Hmmm. Cute, but the collar is much more subby than dommy. Love that the doggo would choose leather rabbit ears, though.
I’m aware. I’ve been through half a dozen of them and don’t want to buy another. An aux cord costs $5 and last practically forever unless you abuse them. My car has built-in Bluetooth, but it has a weird delay and randomly disconnects, mutes, or starts changing what I’m playing on my phone like a remote is pressing buttons.
1/4"? Feh. I use only XLR for my audio needs. /elitist audiophile
I bought a USB-to-aux adapter because my current phone does not have a headphone jack and my vehicle doesn’t have Bluetooth. I use it literally every day, sometimes for hours. It’s utter nonsense that they are getting rid of them.
Sarcastic: Indeed.
Wow. So that’s how you can actually do sarcasm on the interwebs!
By all means. Full us in!
