Value gained, actually.
Value gained, actually.
Just gonna pitch in here, but I’m no expert. I was reading people’s reactions when that TLD was introduced, and they raised concerns over the possibility that a bad actor could spoof an address that actually downloads a .zip file to your device when you click the link, even though you may assume it’s an address to a page. No idea what a hypothetical virus could do from a compressed environment, but thats what I remember reading.
Sorry to any experts if I’m muddying the waters with a dumb take!

Best shit I’ve seen all week.
I played the trumpet for several years and I love that instrument. It’s bad enough that the names coincide; please don’t make it worse 😭
I felt like I was alone in being frustrated at this trend. However I found a bit of relief to discover, through messing around in a Win98 virtual machine, that they were occasionally using the term “app” back then as well. Of course it wasn’t as ubiquitous as it is now, but whatever.
Also I thought I’d never see the Xbox kid meme again. What an unexpected throwback!
And these are the leading theories. Now let’s see the crackpot ones!
You’re right, the tracks are pretty short. But since the game is from my childhood it just has that special something in my heart, you know? And I also agree that the controls could have been better. If you make it to the part where he jumps into the robot dinosaur (my PFP, I forgot to add), there’s a nice variety of weapon pickups to keep the combat at least a tiny bit interesting.
Either way, I’m glad you gave it a shot!
I must admit, nostalgia has an outsized influence on my enjoyment of the things I grew up with, but I’m glad other people are giving it a chance! Like the other person said, the music is a little repetitive, but a lot of games were like that back then. Not everyone can be Koji Kondo!
There’s a game for the NES called Dynowarz and the main character’s name is Professor Proteus. The game is… not great. I loved it as a kid even though I was terrible at it. The music rules though, and I’ll die on that hill.
I’ve never seen a single other person talk about this game since I played it back in the early 90s so I wanted to give it some love 😊
I’ve always been very curious about this technology, but I imagine that they wouldn’t be as good at transmitting high frequencies. I’m no audio engineer so it’s only a hunch of course. Do they sound comparable to a decent pair of buds in the ear?
I fear that this will lead to so much Intel leaking that it will put War Thunder players to shame.
Please! It would be such a nice improvement!
I want to get out of here :(
As a fellow ashamed american, I feel you. I’d keep my mouth shut if anyone asked, if not out of shame, then out of (admittedly paranoid) self-preservation.
I hope the rest of your vacation has been/is great!
I can understand not sharing the fear response, but do you really mean you don’t get it? Like, having thousands of people waiting on your every word and silently judging you on every tiny mistake, or the nervous tics that you do and don’t even know about?
I know it’s an irrational fear, but it’s still real to me 😂
Thinking about it, maybe by “get” the fear, I think you’re saying it doesn’t happen to you. I gotta say I envy you for that.
Not only that, but the sky islands are gorgeous, and you have access to tons of cool machine parts.
I would be perfectly content living through eternity in the comfort of Hateno Village
I thought he was maybe behind the driver’s seat but it’s hard to tell.
What I don’t understand is how in the hell he’s wearing that seatbelt. It looks like a great way to ensure you don’t survive an accident
One of the reasons he’ll always be one of my favorites is because he didn’t take himself seriously and called many of his own filler jokes ridiculous. You could almost imagine him amongst the audience, laughing at himself on stage.
When I read your comment, I internalized “sorted” as “sordid.” I guess either one works!
I think their comment is supposed to sound like “Get back to work” when spoken quickly 😁
