Understandably - as a developer you need to pay money to keep your apps listed on the Apple store - even if they’re free apps. So just to recoup those losses you almost have to put in ads or subscriptions.

I saw others reporting a similar issue in Brave. 🤷♂️
Oh well, we’ll see how it plays out, right now there is a lot of speculation going on
If it actually targets ad blockers and not FF in particular, that won’t do much other than telling all the websites you visit that yet another user is using chrome and not FF.
I still don’t see that they broke FF specifically, they’re fighting back against adblockers, including the ones in browsers like brave.
Get yourself a password manager. You’ll always have your PayPal password at hand.
I’ve been liking bitwarden so far. Works well, seems properly encrypted, no big scandals, etc. But of course anyone reading this should compare a few offers first.
I do not use auto fill, no.
But at least you should be able to unlock your vault once and then keep it unlocked for a few minutes so you don’t need to double up. Maybe try the browser extension that you can get for Firefox (both desktop and mobile).
Sponsor block is also available as a browser plugin on desktop
Yes
So far Bitwarden has been doing great for me, too.
Not OP but my Samsung Galaxy M21 has it, too. It’s slightly hidden as you don’t find it on your home screen or app list, only when you search for it inside the app list.
Just one? Man…
Gotta go with The Owl House
Don’t know honestly - I’ve never tried the app so I don’t have a comparison. Didn’t even know they had one.
I second the recommendation for Bitwarden.
I switched over from Dashlane and never looked back. They even have a browser extension for mobile Firefox (the browser you should be using anyways) so it’s easy and convenient on all my devices.
What if I’m not rooted?
Anyone got any experience with AdAway?
Whelp - I feel like you’re overestimating how much money people donate.
I’ve got a website service that I offer for free with a Kofi tip jar - I got less than 20€ over the past 3 years that is was online. Which doesn’t even cover domain costs.
Sure it’s very much not in your face and it isn’t meant to be, plus being only one anecdotal point of reference, but that’s just my experience with that.
