I believe Atlas Pro did a video on it one time. I’ll go check.
Edit: Yep

Checked it out and learned there’s Thursday Night Dodgeball near me. Ok, this is actually useful.
I feel this would fit better under either Bone Hurting Juice or Speed of Lobsters. Idk if we have any communities like that here yet.
Even then, this is still a solid 30-40% increase in downloads. That’s statistically significant right there.
I see a k following the numbers, so I’m assuming that’s total number of downloads.
I haven’t looked into the details myself since I got lucky with my used Switch. But, yeah, it should still be possible.
Alas, the only easily hackable Switch’s were made until about a year after release. To hack modern ones requires a special mod chip that isn’t easily soldered on.
Nintendo unfortunately did a good job on hack proofing the Switch.
If I recall correctly, the shareholders also can and will sue you if you make a decision that earns them less money than if you had done something more profitable for them. So the companies have a legal incentive to only serve their shareholders.
There’s actually two Switch emulators. Ryujinx is the other one. I’ve tried both and they’re both solid options.
This is the big thing. There are multiple niche, and not-so-niche, subreddits that just don’t exist here. Or they have nowhere near the presence as on Reddit.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m trying to fix that by contributing where I can, but I am just one person.
This is only the beginning. It’s only going to get harder and harder to know what is and isn’t real online.
Sure, you and I are aware of this and have an idea of what to look out for. But do my older parents or grandparents know about this stuff and what to look for? I seriously doubt it.
I would have to dig to find it, but I remember reading years ago in a Car and Driver article that EV’s powered by even the dirtiest coal power plants will still return around 30 MPGe, which is better than most vehicles on the road today.
Granted that article was from before the Hummer EV, so I’m sure that number will have changed somewhat.
Alternatively, you could go the hybrid route as those are arguably better for most people. Plus their batteries are often large enough you can get 20-40 miles of all electric driving. That alone covers over 95% of all people’s trips.
There are a few options in that category. I believe Toyota’s Highlander is a 3 row hybrid. I think Hyundai’s new Santa Fe also has a hybrid power train with 3 rows.
The Mazda CX-90 is another viable hybrid. Though Idk if that officially released yet.
But yeah, in terms of pure 3 row EV’s, we’re lacking.
Horizon: Zero Dawn, here we come.
Wait, is that why I randomly got locked out of my Spoofy account and despite submitting multiple password reset requests, nothing was ever sent to my email?
I believe it started out as a joke to post ancient memes. And then it just took off and people kept posting them.
That and like most other people said: on average there are older people here, so they relate to the memes of yore.

I feel that. I was rocking an S8 I got Black Friday 2017, but I finally had to upgrade in March to an S23. The battery just couldn’t get through the day anymore and I didn’t want to go through the hassle of swapping the battery myself. I couldn’t ship it somewhere to get it done either as I use it for work purposes.
I was perfectly content with the S8, otherwise. I could have used it for another 5 years if the battery was easily swappable.
I’m hoping my S23 will last me another 5.5 years (I enabled battery save mode so it only charges to 85%, which is more than enough for me). And by that point, I hope Fairphone has a flagship that’s good enough to switch to.
Prices for the batteries and panels themselves have dropped. Just not the cost to install them.
I thought those were called poultrygeists
