The best would be if the open source alternatives got better and more popular, like Blender did for 3D stuff.

Vanadium is focused on security and privacy, but not much on adblocking. For that reason I use Cromite, which is much better blocking ads while keeping good security policies.
It’s Vanadium, a fork by the people from GrapheneOS. You could say the same about Graphene, that it’s still Android, but reality is more complex.

They filled a lawsuit against Yuzu and Citra and the developers had to pay 2.4 million dollars to Nintendo. They probably threatened the Ryujinx dev to do the same.
True, but labor rotation is also common in anarchist communities

You can choose between accepting cookies or paying a monthly subscription to refuse cookies. They say that the EU law doesn’t say that the option to refuse cookies has to be free, although Facebook was fined for doing exactly that recently. So, yeah…
In most of them what works is disabling JavaScript scripts execution.

With a dielectric mirror you can get easily 99.9% of the maximum momentum gain from the light, while with a solar powered laser you would get for the emission the compounded efficiency of the solar panel + storage + laser, so way below 10%. So you would gain around 10 times more impulse from your solar panel absorbing light than from the actual laser.
The final momentum gain is a bit different as the maximum you can gain from a photon is double its momentum (because you can reflect it back with opposite direction).

In most cases no. Sometimes they let their developers contribute to the open source projects for a small percentage of their working time.

Photography captures an instant of the real world. The photographer still has to choose the moment, perspective, composition, filters and so on, but they are very constrained (not as much as AI prompters).
The debate about the artistic involvement of photography has existed sonce the invention of the camera, it’s not something new.
The vocabulary is part of the knowledge. The concept goes with the word, that’s how human brains understand stuff mostly.
