His manner of speaking, saying “doc,” and his obsession with carrots are a direct parody of Clark Gable’s character from that movie, but modern audiences don’t realize he’s a parody at all and instead assume the carrot thing it based on rabbits’ real dietary preferences.
It’s such a close parody that they actually secured the rights to remake it. Much of the dialogue is exactly the same.
Definitely White and Nerdy, and Like a Surgeon and Amish Paradise are on par.
1·3 months agoThe bots are there to sell things to humans, collect data on humans, or persuade humans to do things. You want money, power, or to manipulate people into voting against their own self-interests? That’s what bots are for.

Windows was doing an Ubuntu-like release cycle on 10 with standard releases every 6 months and LTS releases every 2 years. There was no need for them to release Windows 11 other than branding. They could have simply kept up their scheduled release cadence like every linux distro does.

Any of the businesses that have hopped on the AI train. $200/month is basically the price of a single Indian call center employee. A company can pay for the AI subscription and fire 90% of the call center, using humans only for escalation.

Not sure what you mean. The McChicken bars are not showing a 200% increase regardless of how you slice it.
They’re not. The $3 bar is not 3x the height of the $1 bar next to it. The $2.99 bar on the right is higher than the $2.99 bar on the left. Someone just free drew the bars and it’s extremely noticeable and annoying.
Having an open mind is great and all, but once you’ve gathered enough information to take a position you’re not obligated to coddle those who remain willfully ignorant. I’ve personally never found astrology “fun,” it’s stupid woo that encourages people to adopt other stupid woo. At a time when anti-intellectualism is being institutionalized into government policy (in the US at least,) I don’t see how anyone in good faith can actively encourage that.
