That seems interesting, but it feels like it would be slower than thumb-key? How long have you been using it, and how high wpm do you have? For reference, I have used thumb-key for 6 months or so, and can achieve 40-45 wpm

Yeah you can’t really “infer” where a letter is, it just takes time to learn the loiations by heart. I think I have used this for 6 months or so, and I’m able to write 40wpm without looking at the keyboard. But damn was it slow in beginning
Here in Finland the standard seems to be 8-16, with 30 min lunch, for a total of 37,5h work per week
For me even kagi didn’t provide a recent doc, but at least there is no garbage-sites (which I have blocked)
Yeah, the secret is to debloat it all the way to 7. Going under that is not advisable expect under doctors supervision.
How about pixel?
The posts are from march 2023, and there are no ads yet :/
That would make sence, also the domain is really good (lasinvaihto.fi, translates to windscreenreplacement.fi). Maybe they are planning to sell the domain?
Recently I was looking for info (in finnish) how to prevent car windows from fogging. I found a really weird website all about car windows, but it kept confusing car and house windows. It instructed to clean car windows by “opening the window and cleaning between the panels”.
It was obviously ai-generated, but I couldn’t figure out why. They weren’t selling anything, there were no ads and no links to other websites or services.
Edit: I found the site again, I cannot spot anything nefarious, but proceed with caution: https://www.lasinvaihto.fi/
How do I do with a detached head?
Give kagi a shot, it’s paid service, but they have a 100 search trial
Give kagi a try, if you haven’t yet.
Have you tried it? At least for me, I often get better results compared to google. Also Kagi has a free trial of 100 searches.
Granted I’m a developer, so my job is basically just searching for information, so getting better results is really valuable for me.
That sounds horrible! How could a machine like that have been high-end in last 15 years? Unless it’s a chromebook. Seriously, is that a typo that it has a 40 gb drive? If not, I’m amazed it can even boot to windows.
I’m so glad my current company is not like this; Couple months ago my coworked started to have issues with running out of ram (16 gb), and noticed that there was an amazing deal on some thinkpads: P14s gen 2, 32 gb ram, 4K, Ryzen 5 pro: 970€ without vat. And now almost everyone in the company has a new laptop! Granted the company is small, 13 employees, making thanigs like this easier.
