When my sister in law told about their church visit and my MIL chimed in about how nice the pastor at that church is, my mother brought up the Catholic church child sexual abuse scandal.
Then she started to rant about Trump. Granted, she despises Trump, but we’re having a Christmas dinner in the middle of Germany, we don’t want to hear about all he’s done which we can do nothing about.

Luckily everyone knows how to deal with it by now, we just go quiet and let her talk until she runs out of steam and then someone suggests to switch to another topic.

I’m not giving you hate, but both problems you just described simply can’t be fixed on the Linux side.
When a company says “I’m offering a service based on closed source software, and I’m not supporting anything other than Windows” there’s hardly anything you can do except use the services of someone else.

Also, I’ve seen Rufus claiming to be able to remove the TPM requirement from the installer. I didn’t test it though.

Works well, I’ve tested it thoroughly, and it is part of my standard toolbox as IT tech now.
Not because of the TPM requirement (we don’t install Windows on unsupported devices), but because it also lets you install it without a Microsoft account.

There’s a misconception here. Unless you can control what code is running on it, you are not the owner.

I just read up on it a bit, and there’s multiple things disproving my theory:

• to reconcile our models with our observations, dark matter would have to be primordial, i.e. created shortly after the big bang.
• to explain the movements we see, dark matter must be mostly concentrated in a ring far outside of a galaxy. Dyson spheres would probably be concentrated in clusters spreading from the center of a civilization.
• Dyson spheres would radiate heat we can detect with infrared telescopes, unless you hand-wave it with “aliens found tech that breaks thermodynamics” and at that point it’s the same as saying it’s magic.
