Eggcellent for egging Nazis on the streets

You need to expand on this claim. Yishuv, from my understanding, is the generation of Jews in Palestine before the formation of Israel. I’m not sure what point you’re making.
The whole story of Zionism pushing the idea of a country “of their own” and destined as a Jewish homeland predates the riots and conflicts that arose from increased Jewish settlement (and literal smuggling) in the area, because of Zionism, and nations like Britain playing up the idea of a promised Jewish homeland with the Balfour declaration for political purposes, and then dropping it when WW1 was over.
The yishuv living in relative peace prior to increased migration from people who believe fundamentally that this was their land is the story of human migration patterns causing strife that has happened throughout history in literally all corners of the world and is a very poor justification for why one group deserves their “ideal” homeland over another.
Agreed. I find the people in my life who blindly support Israel know nothing of the history of Zionism prior to 1948 and think Palestine was given to Israel just because of the holocaust, almost universally omitting that there were already people there and the responsibility of all western governments (I’m considering Russia “west” here) in the oppression of Jews in the years leading up to, and after, the holocaust.
The Behind the Bastards episode on Bibi Netanyahu talked about how he really got his start in the US as a lobbyist for the state of Israel and the media blitz Israel utilized to get both American parties to unconditionally support Israel. Most Americans are just propagandized af.
This is going to be how the zombie virus comes about. Someone ingests a million year old virus that becomes infectious and boom, we got new COVID.
I was surprised to see Robert Evans as a rolling stone writer. I love his podcasts. Article was a great read.
I like the podcast Behind the Bastards which frequently discusses grifters and how they got rich / influential. There’s a few episodes on COVID grifters that may interest you.
I mean posts
I think you mean high art
It’s the slightly less motivated “committing”
I tried (long distance) dating a poly dude in a situation where he had a long term live-in boyfriend and got me and a trans girl to start dating him around the same time. He wanted a polycule to work out and it seemed plausible-ish for a few months, but the communication was atrocious. Everyone liked the central poly dude and I tried getting along with the other two, but it was clear they were just interested in the main dude. Turned into a mega jealousy situation between all of us which blew up horribly and spectacularly.
In a good monogamous relationship now, but I wouldn’t even try a poly thing again. It requires a lot of communication, moving parts, and if someone is slightly less than truthful it’s probably doomed to fail lol.
Lemmy is Reddit from 13 years ago. Here’s hoping it doesn’t go the same way Reddit did lol
That’s been the opposite of my experience here on Lemmy and the exact thing I’m experiencing more and more on Reddit.
I get better responses here on Lemmy with my longer replies, which is great. Reddit feels overall dumber now where people will try and argue that your comment with sources is somehow less compelling than someone else’s sourceless opinion (true story).
I’m having far better interactions on Lemmy.
peer reviewed properly
Is the important bit here. The timeline from that Wikipedia article shows it was published in 2005 and work disproving it’s claim came around in 2006.
If a scientists work is retracted it really kills any more funding they receive. They use examples like the DRBG one as what not to be.
I know someone in this field and sent him this article. He said the “NIST isn’t being transparent” claim isn’t true

He also responded with “of course the NSA would try and mess with it, but if it’s peer reviewed properly I don’t see how they would be successful”
Ain’t that just the way
