I got banned from a bar once, because I refused to give them my water bottle. Which I entered with it empty. Which I filled up in front of staff
I wasn’t even there to drink, they just have a nice arcade section I used to regular

I am once again recommending freetube
I honestly agree 100%. While I don’t do weed, I have a lot off friends that do and the amount of rhetoric I’ve heard about it’s lack of downsides and addictiveness is baffling. I can’t exactly say anything either, because they’re clearly looking for a “yes” answer and anything else won’t be accepted (I don’t want to say some of them are addicted, but smoking it near-daily for years isn’t a good sign)
I’m a medical student, so I’ve looked at quite a few studies, and they seem to align with what you’re saying: that you’re at a much higher risk of developing psychiatric disorders, as well as abdominal or lung diseases depending on your form of intake if marijuana is taken chronically
I just download my songs using freetube, load then onto my phone, and use a FOSS music player to make my playlists. That way, even when I drive out into areas with spotty connections I get my tunes coming through
I use kdenlive for all of my video assignments. Absolute gem of a program, you can find video tutorials online that help you with anything
I had to manually stop it from doing exactly that. Every time windows updated I had to do it again
I do not regret swapping to linux
I’ve installed Linux mint about a month ago and it’s been great. The only real problem that stops me from moving everything over is:
I can’t properly play small untranslated Japanese games that aren’t on steam
To be clear, I can run them just fine, it’s just that the translator I used (VN Translator Neo) can’t be run on Linux. When I run it using wine, the window just goes black
I’ve tried a few other image-based translators, but they all either don’t run or don’t detect the game in wine
If anybody has a workaround (besides dual booting windows) I’d be very grateful
I honestly agree 100%. I support all my LGBTIQ+ people, but in an ideal world I really shouldn’t need to. My support is purely there because there are people who actively want to hurt them, and for no other reason. Part of me worries that some of this support can come across as special treatment
Similarly, I wish people would stop bringing stuff like their sexuality/gender up without prompt, it just comes off as… self-centred, I guess? Bonus points if it’s in their twitter handle
That being said, probably my best online friend was a trans girl (mtf). None of our conversations revolved around them being trans, we just played games and laughed together. Good times
I use freetube, an open source youtube frontend
It’s not an alternative per se, but it does make youtubes shit easier to stand
Front page is just all the videos from your subs in order of most recently uploaded. Super useful, especially if you find yourself missing out on videos from some of your less frequent uploaders
Wait, so there are bins inside and they don’t want bins outside because it’s a wildlife area?
Sounds like OP’s a little lazy, this is a very understandable change
I have very bad internet, so I tend to prefer to keep my games installed, rather than wait 24 hours to download a 60gb game again. I still log on to things like MH world or DJMax respect V every now and then for a few rounds, they’re fun to go back to
Similarly, like you said, I have a lot of mods installed. To the point where my backup mod folder on my external hdd is about 100GB in size, so I’m a little worried about spending hours tracking down all my mod lists again
I’ve transferred about 400GB in (legally sourced) roms to my steam deck, so I thought there’d be a way to do this, but oh well
Does anybody know the best way to transfer all my files to Linux? I dabbled in it a bit, but I was a little worried I’d have to reinstall everything, considering I had to make a (relatively small) partition using my unused d drive space
Is there a way to transfer ~2TB worth of steam games, outside of uninstalling then reinstalling them?
I’ve been using it for about a year now and I honestly have nothing but praise for it
Because it uses invidious as a backend for video sources, freetube can have similar problems to it (might have a day without access to yt vids), but that’s only happened twice in the past year that I can remember
Use Freetube, it’s a FOSS desktop application where you can import your subs and playlists
Best selling point is how the homepage is the most recent videos by your subscriptions in order, from most to least recent
I honestly prefer it to youtube in every way
ngl them not wanting me to download it makes me want to download it more than anything else, and I’m usually against ai
I’ve been using search xng for a while now, it’s honestly really good
Bit misleading. Tumour-associated antigens can very easily be detected very early. Problem is, these are only associated with cancer, and provide a very high rate of false positives
They’re better used as a stepping stone for further testing, or just seeing how advanced a cancer is
That is to say, I’m assuming that’s what this is about, as i didnt rwad the article. It’s the first thing I thought of when I heard “cancer in bloodstream”, as the other options tend to be a bit more bleak
Edit: they’re talking about cancer “shedding genetic material”, which I hate how general they’re being. Probably talking about proto oncogenes from dead tumour debris, but seems different to what I was expecting
