Don’t forget the smugness. These types of places always have such smug staffing, like they think they shit gold or something. It’s like bitch please, you’re demanding someone pay a day’s wage for you to fuck up ground beef. Fuck off out of here with your foofoo bullshit burger.

  • Most of those options are the traditional text-based, “page” based type notes. There really aren’t that many options in terms of competition to something like OneNote though, where the “page” isnt a fixed size, and supports more than just plain text such as handwritten text, or images, or stuff that doesnt necessarily fit in a neat little square.

Dont get me wrong, there are some fantastic note-taking apps out there that are dead simple to use, but if you’re looking specifically for something like OneNote, then again, super limited options.

  • This AI debate is hilarious. Especially from a privacy standpoint, because if anyone were all that concerned about their privacy, they wouldn’t be posting sensitive stuff to things they don’t control, if at all.

Add to that society trends towards an increasing population, societal pressure that frowns on any talk of how to stabilize or even decrease the population, and our ever increasing reliance on various black boxes that we dont even begin to understand, and you can see we’re heading in a direction that goes against privacy whether we want it or not.

Easier to encourage people to make the conscious effort to not post what they dont want public than it is to change all the platforms involved.

  • So how long until our options in dodging the endless waves of shitty ads have completely gone? Sure, there might not be indication of it now, but it’s probably a safe bet that Mozilla will try and pull some of the same shit Brave did in regards to ads/adblocking.

Thank fuck the internet as a whole is getting so shitty to the point it encourages us to go do something else. Turns out that avoiding the internet as a whole results in feeling a hell of a lot better about things in general.

  • “Patent pending” and already picked up by a major manufacturer. So what this means is basically while it could be a good thing… the article is basically an advertisement for an upcoming product.

Not nearly as good a thing until it gets copied/the patent gets worked around. Also, zero explanation of what was actually done to accomplish this, so again, leaning more towards “this is just advertisement with extra steps”.

  • It’s like if the Craigslist guy was like “You know what, I think I’m going to open my own outdoor store”. I like the little link to the page about his car. No bragging, no showing off… just a “Hey, this is my car. These are it’s specifications. Check it out.”

Could probably buy something from the site, and request the owner sell it to you only after going out for a beer together, and it’d probably work.
