C# because I used to work for a company building asp.net web apps and now I know it too well that it’s just easier.
I also really like kotlin and that’s what most of my professional development is in now, but I find the kotlin coroutine library no match for dotnet’s Task API, so I’m not sure I could switch for my private projects.
I have a large bench vice, a precision milling vice on my milling machine and a couple of little vices for cocaine.

CetaceanNeeded@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your "American healthcare" story?3·7 months agoIn Australia your son would be eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme which would supply government funding for all the services he requires. You would possibly also be eligible for your own disability support funding as his primary carer but I’m not sure on the criteria for that.

When I was a small child we lived by the coast and my dad had a small yacht, one day I remember the keel lodged on a sandbar and he used the anchor to pull it free. Unfortunately we moved inland when I was 5 and dad sold the yacht.
I didn’t want kids for the entirety of my twenties. I’ve been with my partner since we were 21 and she wasn’t keen on kids for that whole period either. We got married at 30 and it wasn’t long before we both felt like kids was something we wanted.
She is currently 35 weeks pregnant and we are both super excited about the impending birth of our daughter.
We have the occasional “Oh shit! What have we done.” But mostly we can’t wait to watch her grow and teach her about the world and do exciting things with her.
We know it’s going to be a huge change but we are very stable in our lives and the time is right for it. We are both really good at supporting each other by now so we know we can cope with change together.
