It’s all I ever wanted and seemingly the only thing I can never have even since childhood. I move every 2 years on average and since adulthood that’s been from basement apartment to basement apartment and now to a garage with no end in sight… I finally got to the point where I could consider buying a house and then COVID, WFH, and the invesestment parasites all blew up at once and took that away from me… I gave up on the relationship bit years ago.

No, sadly they actually aren’t happy. There’s still money out there that isn’t in their bank account. It drives them insane knowing “their” money is still in someone else’s bank account.

Just want to back this one up: as someone rapidly approaching 40 who never loved himself, if anything absolutely loathes himself, repeating to yourself how absolutely horrible of a failure you are and how completely and utterly undeserving of anyone’s love you are daily will cement itself in your head as absolute fact.

That’s what happend at my highschool. There was a year we couldn’t even afford paper but we were a school of over 2000 kids. Not a wealthy area by any means, but with all those taxes from all those families you’d think basic supplies wouldn’t be an issue.

You’re right, I was just referring to the device as a whole. The “experience” is generally meant to be grab and use as is no tweaking/new apps or whatever so the general phone/tablet user isn’t accustomed to fixing/adding/tweaking, just tap swipe tap swipe tap swipe.

I’d have to imagine most of the people calling them “tech savvy” are just seeing them on phones/tablets which are mostly “dumbed down” hardware in comparison to what you can do with a PC. There isn’t much to know about operating a phone or tablet.

5 weeks is… pretty minimal

Supposedly the argument for the recent absurd food prices is because of oil prices increasing (translates to shipping costs increasing) so much with Russia invading Ukraine and everyones sanctions on Russian oil plus the disruption of wheat production in Ukraine.
