On the PDF to JPEG, you can also open the PDFs with an image editor, such as Inkscape or krita, and then save the image on the format and quality needed. This method also has the benefit that on some cases you play with the assets if needed. (Depends on how was the PDF generated)

The only problem I see with KDE Connect is that you need to pair the devices. Works great if both are yours, but probably its not something you want leave with the default settings if its shared with someone else.

I see radicale recomended, but in what ways is it better than nextcloud? I moved to nextcloud for calendar due to syncing issues when sharing calendars. So far it seems to be fine, but this question got me wondering about what can be done better.
