Google killed off their own cached pages last month and they’re now using IA as a replacement. Free linking is definitely important, but this is Google we’re talking about, and them using IA to save money - this feels a lot more exploitative if Google isn’t funding them in some way.

Also don’t forget places like Free Geek - I’m glad to see my local one collaborating with YouTubers to get the word out but I’d like to see them do some more local outreach in the runup to W10 EOL (their computers often run Linux but encouraging people to switch to Linux is not their fight, imo). In addition to air conditioning becoming widespread, Walt Disney World opened in 1971. There was very little in Orlando prior to that due to not being on the coast - it’s miserably hot and doesn’t get the afternoon breeze off the ocean like costal cities.

The insane pricing creating a miserable push to do all the things is basically the entire Disney experience for families. I used to work in one of the parks, and people were exhausted and burnt out trying to do everything, and my advice to people visiting the parks was always “don’t try to do everything, try to pick some of it and enjoy what you do”.
