Normalize cropping out the useless “nobody”
Honestly I think we can just call them “subs” like we did on Reddit. “Sublemmy” sounds clunky but sub still works and we all know what it means.
Me, turning on my PC every day after my main PC was bricked while rebooting for a Win10 update…
I was a real piece of shit for a good handful of years when I was a kid because I believed I was destined for hell. I figured if I’m going to spend eternity being tortured I may as well enjoy life to the max, even at the expense of others. Because I’m already going to hell, so why not, right?
Religion is fucking toxic, man. I hurt a lot of people and made a lot of decisions I can’t recover from.
BotW hands down, but Pokemon Emerald is always a great option for emulators. Or any Fire Emblem game.
Bloons Tower Defense 5/6 are great for kids. They do have microtransactions but they don’t nag you to buy anything, and everything is easily obtainable just by playing. Also, nothing that you can buy is “content.”
If you’re able/willing to download ROMs and emulators, the first handful of generations of Pokemon games are great for touchscreen/mobile. My favorite was always Pokemon Emerald (GBA) but you can easily emulate all the games up to about X2/Y2 (DS) on any modern Android device. (I use “MyBoy!” for the GBA games, but PokeMMO is good for combining both the DS and GBA games into more of a mobile game experience rather than an emulator experience, if that makes sense. Everything is just easier, and probably a lot more accessible for a primary school kid.)
It’s also worth noting that girls like a lot of the same kinds of games boys like. 🤷♀️ Just give her as many good options as you can find and let her decide what she finds fun. Me and my sister had a blast playing CoD Zombies on our aunt’s tablet when we were kids.
I’m employed and I still can’t afford new clothes
We’re about due for another flood if you ask me
I’m too lazy to memorize alt codes
What? The current events are an attempt on someone’s life with the goal of saving what semblance of democracy we have left.
Did y’all seriously miss the memo? It’s pretty obvious what he meant if you haven’t been under a rock for the last 24hrs.
When I joined in MoP it was still peer-to-peer by default
I took every coding class my highschool offered, and the only thing that drove me more crazy than this syntax was trying to use CSS.
And the irony will forever be lost on you
In what country are you not allowed to talk about something you watched
I got the math the wrong way around but read the bottom of the bot’s post. The bot’s job is to cut the fluff out of articles, and it copy/pastes the remaining text for us to read here.
So my comment should have said 40%, but the point was if we’re comparing what the bot did with your coworkers talking about a game, it’d be more akin to them reciting the commentator verbatim.
Not surprising the same guy that takes asking for clarification as “asking for some bullshitting” would think Skylar was just having an “attitude.”
Impressive that your coworkers discuss the events exclusively by recalling 60% of the announcer’s words and then quoting them verbatim.
The next time you see a similar joke you could be the one to start it!
It’s done a lot of bad/annoying things but I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t enabled me to completely sidestep the enshittification of Google. You have to be smart about how you use it but at least you don’t have to wade through all the SEO slop to find what you want.
And it’s good for weird/niche questions. I used it the other day to find a list of meme songs that have very few/simple instruments so that I could find midi files for them that would translate well when going through Rust’s in-game instruments. I seriously doubt I’d find a list like that on Google, even without the enshittification.
