I saw this during the theater run and it’s really funny, I recommend it if you like Looney Tunes even a little. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did!

I saw it in the theater, and I’d give it a C. I didn’t love it or hate it, but I only laughed out loud a couple times. There were times when it felt more Ren & Stimpy than Looney Tunes. Maybe that’s a positive for some folks, in which case you might enjoy it more than I did.

It feels like Ren & Stimpy sometimes because one of the writers (Katie Rice) did work on the Ren & Stimpy reboot! So you’re spot on with picking up on that. IMO that adds to it rather than detracts because so much of R&S was making references to or riffing off the ‘golden age’ of cartoons that Looney Tunes was part of, but if that style of humor is boring to you then I could see it detracting from the movie. I wasn’t constantly cracking up or anything, but I was smiling and laughing more than I was bored. Which honestly feels like a huge hurdle for movies now, lol.

WB sold the rights to Ketchup Entertainment already. They couldn’t write it off even if they wanted to.
