What’s worse is that half the population actually voted for these losers. After the losers published a document describing exactly what they are going to do. We are surrounded by idiots.

Personally, I actually enjoyed it. It had that 90s nostalgic vibe, and I liked it.
However, the renewed 25 years later season felt like Lynch was mocking the audience (or was high on something). The season was boring as fck, story was bad and made no sense. None of the loose ends from the original show were resolved. The acting was so bad, I actually wanted to give it up after the first episode. And he didn’t even give us what we wanted to see more of… Detective Cooper. Instead we got braindead cooper and evil doppleganger cooper for all but the last few minutes of the season. And for some weird reason, every episode ended on some bad recording of a live song that had nothing to do with the show.
I gave up on it once, and then continued at a later date. I felt that the mid seasons were a bit of a grind, but the last season goes up to 11 with an extremely satisfying ending.
I watched the first 2 seasons or so. It felt like all the clichés from all the zombie movies put together in a single show, but worse.
While I agree this is a shit thing to do, I am looking forward to the influx of cheap hardware.
They should replace the XPS name with the Longitude. And then the Altitude.
It’s used for PCIE so of course it can.
I don’t think they can. They would need to rethink their company culture, but because the current one makes big numbers go up, they don’t really have to change anything.
I own a Yamaha PSR E403. This series is a lower end class of synthetizer/arranger keyboards targeted towards novice players. Mine also has an identical UI to the one presented here. I wonder if the hack would work on it as well, being a similar model.
My better keyboard is a Yamaha CP88 which is a lot more modern and has updatable firmware. I poked a bit with the update package using binwalk and as far as I could tell it’s not encrypted, and runs some version of QNX. My hacking skills aren’t as good, but I wonder if that one has similar exploits.
In the US, the purpose of incarceration is cheap slave labor, which is why oligarchs like it this way. Can’t have that if inmates have rights and are allowed to have non-slave jobs.
Prison workers in the US are generally exempt from workers’ rights and occupational safety protections, including when seriously injured or killed.[43][39] Often times, inmates that are often overworked through penal labor do not receive any proper education or opportunities of “rehabilitation” to maximize profits off the cheap labor produced.[44] Many incarcerated workers also struggle to purchase basic necessities as prices of goods continue to soar, meanwhile prison wages continue to stay the same.
I think it would thrive under a non-profit like the Linux foundation. It doesn’t need to make money. It’s a critical piece of our tech infrastructure, just like Linux, openssl and other open source projects. Having it in the hands of an ad company whose interests are against the open internet and open standards is not okay.
Amazon is deliberately built to be terrible for the users, so they can push products that make them the most money. Most filters are useless, and some don’t work properly, you only have limited sorting options that also don’t work properly (if you sort ascending by price, it will still put sponsored results that don’t respect the sorting order). A while ago, I was looking for a product that I knew should cost about €5, and I couldn’t find any cheaper than €10 until I got to the 10th result page.
For an example of a good search interface, just check farnell.com. It’s insanely good, you can basically filter by any attribute of a product. Being able to use something like this to search for a laptop, or a mobile phone would be amazing.
For big contracts between companies, this is actually done, in a way, through source code escrow. Would be nice if this was a thing for consumers as well.
How old is this? Why is play music here?
Just activate the engines with right click menu like a real man.
That is correct, but at least BMW knows how to make decent cars that won’t trap you in in an emergency.
Onedrive is pretty ok, other than being annoying. A company I worked for was acquired by another company that had their own cloud storage product. After the acquisition, they forced us to migrate from onedrive to their product. It was so bad… Files would constantly corrupt and disappear, the speed was terrible, trying to share files didn’t work half the time, when sharing folders the people you shared with wouldn’t see all the files in the folder. They also limited our storage from 1TB to 25GB making it pretty useless for storing builds of our product or trying to share VMs.
And the worst part is that they also closed our SMB network share to force us to use that piece of shit.
After that experience, I will never complain about Onedrive again.
Not being able to access American sites will allow local competitors to appear. Back in 2005-2010, before Facebook, there were many local social platforms and forums. For example, these are all from Romania.
I seriously don’t understand why anyone would use it. It’s basically a platform that copies images from the internet and lets you bookmark them. Something browsers had since the 90s. Or you could just download the pictures to a folder, so you can see all the thumbnails.
