Oh, you don’t like to be late for work? Why those pesky public transport workers are not working? Oh, you say they have slave wages? Not being able to eat or pay rent sucks way more than being late one day. You get the point, protests are made always when something sucks for someone, and the methods are way more effective when you can communicate your issue in a non ignorable way. PC protests are very ignorable.

I wonder if a fediverse version of that would resonate with any of my friends and family. Seems like we are where we started with forums, just strangers respectfully taking about their common interests. Social media is indeed dead.

That would only happen if we give power to our ai assistants to buy things on our behalf, and manage our budgets. They will decide among themselves who needs what and the money will flow to billionaires pockets without any human intervention. If humans go far enough, not even rich people would be rich, as trust funds, stock portfolios would operate under ai. If the ai achieves singularity with that level of control, we are all basically in spectator mode.
