How long until governments create email accounts or digital identities (I mean they already have the latter). Then they force social media platforms (who n turn force users) to use/link that as age verification and content blocking.

Untill we move to SSD.

Got a libre2 recently as a gift. My first ereader. I was able to plug it into the PC. Change a line of code and reboot.

Thst made the email prompt go away.

Then installed koreader and syncthing on it. I DL books on Android and it syncs over to Kobo. I can even read via koreader app on andrpid and it syncs progression.

I get it, but fuck it’s beyond annoying sometimes. Its also impossible for homeless/at risk people who dont hold onto phone numbers or 2FA apps.

With luck they can guess an email password or reset it. But when 2fa is tied to a mobile 3 numbers ago, or needs the exact same device. Its fucked

Then you have to call the government (verbally Thanks for gov accounts) who are increasingly hard to get hold of coz its all a robot phone tree telling you to go online. Then when you so get someone you have to provide ID (thst they may or may not have a copy of) and start again.

Every time. Its near impossible.

The other thing you mentioned is slightly different. Ive been using perplexity and find it slightly better then GPT (via DDG) when writing code snippets. Plus I can load the URL.

Fist party keyboards have the exact same permissions. The code is hidden though and noone can audit it.
